We moved to the East Ridings of Yorkshire on 12th May 2004 and took over Mill House. Although it was Licensed as a Boarding Kennels the previous owners never actually used it for that purpose.
Both of us wanted to take early retirement and when the opportunity arose for us to purchases Mill House, we decided we would like to make it the best holiday home you can get for your pets. We both love animals and have owned dogs, cats, horses, rabbits birds and koi carp. There have also been a few temporary guests like a rescued squirrel, a baby crow rescued from some children throwing stones at it - if only it had been a bit more appreciative - even baby crows can give you a nasty peck!!
Currently we are only licenced for dogs but we are hoping to get planning permission to build ten cat chalets and we will then make facilities for looking after rabbits guinea pigs, hamsters etc.
With only ten kennels we have all the time in the world to spend with our guests and have the field to play games in and to go for lots of little walks to break up the day. We also have a long walk across the fields and the canel tow path is only a short distance away.
